I had it one time in 13000 miles, it happened just recently. Lasted for about 5 minutes then went away. I haven't taken it to the dealer yet but I have run 500 miles since then and all has been OK since.

yep mine does it every morning and depending on the temperature it will also blow white smoke with the rough idle. Been to dealer 7 times and still does it

Mine has never done it. Pretty smooth as silk, little of no smoke. I have an early build (Jan 04) which has NOT had the TSB for the "flat spot" and white smoke.

We'll see how she does when the weather gets colder.

Thanks Klenger but already had the TSB done, fuel filter done every 5k and also been to dealer 7 times, one injector and the fuel rail valve replaced and still does it. Not sure why some do it and some dont.

Mine does is at also. The colder it is, the worse it happens. Does go away pretty quickly though.

Mine was built after the build date listed in the TSB.

Mine has done it a few times I have noticed it does it when i just go out and crank it over and don't wait for the start light to go out even when temps are warm out. So now i wait every time and it hasn't done it since. Might be the rail isn't getting enough pressure and a tiny air pocket(s) are in it?

Could someone tell me about this "Start Light"? Ive never seen a "Start Light" on my 04. Is the a Emission controled state registered truck? I havent seen a "start Light" since I owned a Ford diesel and al Old 5. 7 Oldsmoblie for the Glow Plugs. .

Not totally sure it's called a "start light" but its the little coil looking light that comes on when you switch the ignition to on (bottom middle of the gauge cluster). Your Visor should have the starting instructions on it that explain you should wait for the light to go out...

No trouble with my truck. I get it, hit the key and throw it in reverse after I adjust the proprt "tunes" and off I go. Start up lite???? Not in my truck. Hit the switch and off I go. ;) :D
