04.5 Alternator Upgrade/rebuild

Need to replace Alternator, with as many High power consuming toys as the truck has on it I was thinking of upgrading to a High Output Alt. have seen 270 amp and higher. Would like to hear of any problems of making such a conversion/ Pros and Cons

Have seen a vendor that sold the extreme H/O parts but can no longer find them, I don't know if they went out of business or that I'm just not looking hard enough.

This is a link to the 250 amp alternator I installed on my truck. Replaced OEM wire from the alternator to the battery with a battery cable size wire. Don't know if they make 270 amp.

Only ones I can remember are Mean Green and PA Performance. I have no experience with either one just remember seeing them either on here or in the TDR mag ads. You might also be able to retrofit a leece neville
