04.5 Fass 150 Install Question

Hello all, I've recently purchased a Fass 150. Upon trying to install it I've run into a problem (I think). How does this thing hook up electrically? I've got the one cable that came with it. It's got the plug for the Fass end and two bare wires on the other end. According to the instructions I'm supposed to hook the bare wires to the + and - on the battery. This just doesn't seem right, how would it turn on/off? Any advice?

should of come with a connector for a fuse. the ground goes to the batt and the positive wire goes to a accessory fuse in the fuse box.

The wire does have an inline fuse, but that's the only wire I got with it. Did I get sent the wrong part or something?

the wire with the fuse gets hooked to a accessory positive fuse.

Hook it up per the instructions. The wires that plug into the orig pump connector powers a relay that switches power from the battery to run the new pump. This relay is what causes the pump to run only when it's supposed to.

After the install, if you ever get a code indicating a bad fuel pump it will be because the new relay is bad, not the pump.

You've got a wiring harness for and 05 instead of a 04. 5 truck they did the same thing to me. On the 05 it does wire in to the fuse box but on the 04. 5 it plugs into your stock lift pump location and somewhere else I forgot now. If you go onto the FASS website and go to the install part you'll see the different between the 05 and the 04. 5. Atleast this is what my problem was sounds the the same thing to me sure hope this helps.
