CGresswell,

As I stated in my last post to this tread, there was a 3rd TSB listed on my invoice and the tech came out and explained to me that the extra TSB was just a combination of the 2 TSB's that I had requested. The 3rd TSB was listed on the invoice as TSB 18-34-97. I don't know if this is something just this dealer does or if they all do it.

I do not have access to a scanner so I took a picture of the invoice which came out great but when I tried to post it, it tells me it is to large to load to the site, and that was on the lowest setting my camera has.

Anyway, sorry if I caused any confusion

I had mine done this morning. I had an appointment, went in, described white smoke (which I actually hardly ever have) and poor mileage. I handed her a copy of the TSB, and an hour later, I was done.

Invoice only states "ck on TSB 18-037-04". NO sticker anywhere under the hood.

Now, on the way home from the dealer, 35 miles of mixed high speed (70+) driving, and stop and go, I was getting mid-14s, according to the overhead. This is probably 1-1. 5 higher than before with that type of driving. I can't tell ANY difference in performance, truck feels just as strong as before. The only difference, and for the better, is that the transmission shifts MUCH smoother into overdrive than before - no more of that nasty "wwwhoooomp".

It's going to take a good week or so of my normal 11-mile stop-and-stop commute before I really will be able to get any meaningful mileage data.

About this sticker thing people keep mentioning, I didn't see one under my hood when I checked after the tech was finished doing the TSB's I had done either. After reading that people were not getting a sticker for the TSB's performed, I thought I'd check before I left their lot. I went back and talked to the service manager. The tech came back out and said he had forgot to put it on, he was finished with the real work and the sticker part was just forgotten. I had watched him do the TSB's so I know that it was done, he just didn't put the sticker on. When he did put it on, he put it on the ECM on the side of the block instead of the core support.

My dealer put 2 stickers on after the TSB. One is adjacent to the top of the radiator and the other was put directly on the ECM. The dealer told me the stickers are needed to comply with Federal law (regarding emissions?).

I don't know what has happened. My truck now has 4409 miles on it. For the first 3000 miles I was getting about 12MPG around town and little more on the highway. About 1000 miles ago it went to about 14 MPG and still 12 MPG towing. Today I went to a meeting and the thing is showing almost 17 MPG!! I haven't changed anything nor had any work done at a dealer. I reset the readout and lo and behold, it is still showing my MPGs have increased about 2 - 3 MPG. Same drving, same fuel, same streets. Go figure. If this keeps up, by the time I get 50K on it I will be emptying the tank to keep it from overflowing while I drive.

Is this TSB for all 600's or is it for the early 600's. Been a while since I followed the "flashes" to improve economy. My mileage isn't terrible so is this something recommended to get done. Wouldn't mind a few more MPG's.

I finally made it to the dealer to have my truck flashed. My MPG has increased by about 2mpg giving me about 17. 5mpg on my daily driving.

The truck seems to run smoother too.

I have just over 10k on the clock.
