04.5 no start and no communication to scanner

Good morning, I working on a this truck for a guy, it hasn't run for several year.

He bought it a year ago. Was told by a dealer if need a engine. For a nocking noise. He found the flywheel loose causing the noise and repaired it. Now he's tring to get it started. He was told it was running and reved up high and died and never restarted sence. Here what I know right now. No cum. with scanner, has 5 volt ref. to most sensers. But have no 5 volts to the fan clutch and to trans. I'm going to do more testing this afternoon. It may have a bad PCM but not going there ontil I do more testing. My have trans pulling down the 5 volt ref.

There are several things happenign and not. The intake heater is going on and off very fast, no fuel gauge, does have fuel the lift pump is working. I'm not an diesel expert. But I'm learning fast and Driver a 07. 5 cummins my self. 75k and no problems and tow heaving load. Just looking for a little help.

unhook both batteries. then load test them independently.
if there good, then leave the ruck unhooked to power for about 20 minutes. Then try the scanner again.

(also, roll the key three times forward to where the fuel pump turn on, and read the codes the display on the digital odometer. )

I check everything out this afternoon all powers and grounds ok. Did have 5 volts at the fan clutch and trans. Can communicate to ABS module and air bag. Order a Computor tomorrow. Thanks. Did have battery disconnected overnight.

Install R/M ECM and it started, but it was smoking bad and if you touch the thottle it would go to 2600 RPM and smoke bad. It would hydrolock if you let if sit for awhile. Has bad injectors leaking bad. Went to pull injectors and found push rod off of #5cyl. and bent push rod. Broken tappets, hurt the camshaft. Need to pull eng. to see all damage.

Has anyone seen broken tappets or lifters?? Will be looking for some parts soon.
