When I run the wipers on the intermitent position, they will not work as they did when the truck was new. Sometimes they will make 1 wipe (normal when new) other times they make 2 3 or 4 wipes then rest. I assume that the timer is going bad, the question is WHERE IS THAT CONTROLLER?? How do I access it, and how do I fix the problem??

Sounds like the FCM (Front Control Module) could be malfunctioning. The Dodge part number is 56051036AF and new they cost about $220 if you shop around.

It's located next to the IPM (Integrated Power Module) which is on the driver's side fender in the engine compartment.

Testing it requires a DRBIII scan tool and the appropriate diagnostic manual.

Seems like I remember reading on TDR before that it could be the wiper motor or the multi-function switch.

Godspeed,
Trent
Yep, there are a few threads on it. Module, multi function switch or park switch in the motor, take your pick. My 05 has been doing the multi-swipe action for years now, but I like that better than a single swipe. :D

I have the same problem with my 2004. 5. Erratic wiper action, sometimes it stops, sometimes a few swipes then stops. But it still works when not on intermittent position.

I had the same problem on a GM vehicle (Yes, I've owned a few of them too). I had to replace the wiper motor ($$) to finally get it fixed.
