I just want to thank you for that link, I did see it a couple days ago and checked it out and do appreciate it. The only options on that list are the 2004. 5 Cummings, and SRW that could apply to my build. But with the Sept 25th order date you would think it would be a 04 build. With that logic, the SRW is holding up the build. It is a 3500 if that matters.

I ordered my 04, 3500 Laramie, DRW, HO, 48RE with extras on September 22nd. It will be interesting to see which one of us get our trucks first!

I orderd my '04 2500 on 9/25. Employee price deal. My buddy at DC has been tracking it for me. According to his computer screen it left Saltillo on a railcar on 10/21. From there it goes to Veracruz, onto a ship, across the Gulf to Tampa, then by truck down to Key West. Monday, my dealer said it might be here this week. Didn't come in today (Thursday). That leaves Friday, so not likely this week. But, "any day now"!

Mine is still on paper with at BG status! It was at BX, ready to have a VIN and ship date assigned the first of this month, But for some reason DC rejected all the diesel orders my dealer had in allotment! No one can give me an explaination! :--)

Placed order on 10-7, shipped today. It is a bright silver Laramie 3500 long bed, quadcab, SRW, 6 spd, 3. 73 LSD, 4X4. It should come with tow package, protection group, block heater, side airbags, heated seats, chrome air deflector, & trailer tow mirrors. I feel like I won the lotto (just plain lucky, sorry for all of you that are still waiting). I had already resigned myself to the new engine. Some of the restrictions must have come up very shortly after 10-7. I'll believe it when it hits the driveway as ordered... .

I'll feel even better if it does not vibrate at 70-75mph.

Lithia dealer in Pocatello said today that he got word from DC "no more cummins till jan 04!". I hope dodge is #1 in sales with all the holdups.

Thanks for your support as well, I didn't want to say anything earlier but I ordered mine as well at Employee Purchase Plan with a EP# provided by a friend of a friend for me.



I was speaking with a local truck equipment installer and he can order vehicles for POOL storage, and then local dealers can pull them out of pool if they purchase something from him like a plow, or dump box.....

He basically said that he is on the bottom of the list to receive new vehicles as they need over capacity before they push vehicles into pool lots. He has canceled his order for a dozen or more Dodge trucks that have been in BG for the last month as it won't do him any good to get plow trucks delivered next spring. He actually can order Phords as well, he had plenty of them (to bad for Dodge, as he sells a lot of them for plowing snow)



My guess was maybe the Employee Purchase would be second to last, as It would be more important for Dodge to produce the sold Retail orders first.



Thanks for throwing that out for me as it does make me feel a little better knowing that you are getting a truck build with EP pricing and it was not the factor in holding up the build.

I really don't think the plant knows the pricing on the sale. My bud has sent me several screen dumps of the plant's computer records of my truck as it progressed from order received to gateline to build to ship. Nowhere does it reflect EP. All that is shown is MSRP, options, color, etc.

I also have an 04 ordered. My order was placed Sept 10 and as of Oct 29 the status is BG. I bet I ordered from the same dealer as dkosheba. Small town, 2 salesmen (one is Owner) across from livestock auction. I have been buying there since 1990 Three Cummins and one Caravan. The Owners always knows the facts. Has been no hassles or surprises. It will be interesting to see which Ram comes in first

My dealer called today with GOOD NEWS! He said the DC had picked up my order today and that I should have a VIN and delivery date soon. He said that the truck should be here mid December! I'll beleive it when I see it!

Still nothing on mine. It's a 2500 2wd. Looks to me like the ones that are delayed are 3500 duallies. Counting the days!!! Mine was shipped out of Saltillo on a railcar to VerCruz on 10/21. Supposed to go from VerCruz to Tampa by ship (how else?) then by truck to my dealer in Key West. How long can it take???

I placed my order on 10/17 and it went D1 on 10/31. I called DC today and recieved a VIN. The truck was also purchased using an EP#. The truck is a 3500 4x4, SRW, SWB, 6-speed. I really don't think there was a restiction on the diesel, just no room in the build schedule. DC said estimated ship date is 11/11, but I'm not putting much faith in that. Oo.

I had a good lady on the status phone and she told me that average time from factory via rail to Salito then ship to Baltimore and truck to NJ was 15 days.

The hold up is not on 3500 DRW. Mine took 9 days from order date to ship date. It's been at the dealer for two days now. I'm picking it up tonight.

Called this afternoon and I am back onto BX status. Glad to hear that, we will wait and see now if I can get a VIN# in next couple days to verify they plan to build it, and when.

I ordered a Quad cab 4x4 dually for a Customer on 10-21, and It will be built on 11-11, only a short time in BG status
