04 door chime

Has anyone figured out how to permanently disable the key-in door chime on the 04 model Ram?

yes place the middle seat belt buckle in the holder no more chimes

There are instruction in the owners manual on how to deactivate the seat belt chime that even a moron could follow.



Fortunately I was warned by the salesman that I might find the seat belt chime a touch annoying and there were instuctions in the manual. Unfortunately, after numerous attempts to deactivate it by closely following the instructions, and since I was at the shop to pick up my rocker panel guards, I asked the shop if they had an dechimer specialist. They did, she nuetered that pup in a heart beat



No more chime

Thanks for the responses but I am looking for a remedy for the "key-in" the ignition when the door is open chime.

I want to disable the chime permanently only for the key in ignition chime.

Someone has done it as I read where a fella cut a wire that went to the key tumbler. That was a while back and I forget who- sorry. I will do some more research on it as I too am looking for that fix.
