Just curious what info ppl have on these, and if they think its worth the $550-$600? Maybe better to go with an alpine, with the big 7" screen? Possibly hey will be using the mopar unit with 4. 9" screen that's sirius sat ready? Heres a pic if the link will work...

From what I have been told by 2 dealers,including the one I ordered my truck from,it was discontinued as is the UConnect cell phone option. :{

One of the dealers I have been talking to listed it as an option... here's the code - wth msrp and invoice price

RB4 Radio - AM/FM CD, GPS Navigation 775 682

curious then why you didn't use better equipment, like an alpine or eclipse? I understand it may be made by alpine but wont be up to the same quality, and 4. 9" is a small screen..... just curious.

The quest was getting a good nav unit, not alpine's financial success, duh.

The RB4 is what the dealer quoted as being an option on the 04 ram. The only reason I'd consider the inferior mopar unit is because it looks factory and is less likely to get stolen.

:) :) :)

My first reply was in reference to what is on restriction, DUH.

The RB4 is a lower-priced version of the RB1 (Mopar P/N 82208481). The main difference is that the RB4 does not offer the turn-by-turn voice guidance system AND it is CD-based. The RB4 has a MSRP of $1395 vs $1595 for the RB1.

Those criminals:mad:

The The Dolen site says " Navigational Radio RBU" They may have made a mistake. When I was ordering mine the DC customer service Rep told me Dolen had access to their (DC)computers. Everything else I have seen on their site has been on the mark. But, they probably have some humans working there that may screw things up.

I stand corrected and proofread.

DC , Humans, Mistakes, ,, never. :rolleyes:

By the way, you must be human, you made a mistake, its 'there' not 'their'.

I went with that radio because it fits in the radio spot and dosen't look like you screwed something that does not belong there on your dash. looks factory and the sirius hooks right up to it. The screen size is fine unless you are 80 and need reading glasses. never had a problem seeing it or hearing the chick talk to me.

I'm sure the screen size is fine, however the alpine or others are much bigger, which can only help and allow you to see a greater area of map. Also they can play dvds etc. Also, i'm 87 years old, so the extra inches would be helpful. :p

opps, did not see you were from florida,Like I said I like the factory look and how the radio tunes down with directions. works for me,Thats why my dad always said there is an ass for every seat. what ever works for you. I'm just saying it's a nice unit.
