I have a new '04 HO quad cab 4x2 SWB with a vibration/shudder when the 48RE shifts to OD and I think lockup. The vibration occurs from 1500-1900 rpm at mid throttle acceleration and subsides when easing up on the throttle. This is with the truck in as delivered weight and no tow load.
What is minimum rpm for lockup?
This is my first diesel, and I'm not totally familiar with the expected vibrations. Is this more likely from the engine or transmission? It definitly starts right after shifting to OD and what I think is converter lockup. Although I didn't think the converter would lock at these RPMs and throttle position.
