My 2004 Dodge Rams fuel transfer pump went out and I had it towed to the nearest dealership. I was told it was still under warranty and it would be replaced for a hundred dollars. I call 4 days later and am told they cannot locate a pump and that there is a national backorder for this part. It has been a week and when I call Dodge I am told they don't have any idea when they can get a pump. Today I was told that the economy has caused some plants to close that make the pump.

My question is: Is there any recourse I have to get my truck to work. Or is Chrysler going out of business and I am just screwed.

Replace it with a FASS or Airdog transfer pump. Just do it cause who knows if Chryselr is going to survive. $526 at Huckstorf Diesel in WI.

good luck, they won't and can't do it because it isn't a mopar part getting put on the truck, trust me we tried doing it when I worked at the dealership.
