Does anyone know if the 04 Service Manual will be updated for the 600? Surely with the changes it would be necessary. I just checked, and there are 3 offerings for 2004 RAM (DR). The paper copies specify 2 volume set. Other than that, descriptions appear identical for all three:

PN 81-370-04095 $250 Paper

PN 81-370-04059CD $90 CD

PN 81-370-04059 $250 Paper

Anybody know what gives with the price? For my 2001 the paper was about $125. Why double? The 2003 is only $110.

Also, there is a PN 81-326-0428 $10 2004 RAM TRUCK (DIESEL) OWNERS MANUAL. Don't know what that is.

The current pricing makes the choice of CD more attractive than before.

The diesel owners manual and the one for the gas powered trucks are different. It should come with the truck.

The price on the Service manual is because, from what you said, it is a 2 vol. set. Not just one book as before with the 2nd. gen. trucks.

Could be wrong, but I suspect you need the 81-370-04095 manual.

I would call the # listed at www.techauthority.com (For information about hardcopy orders,

call 800-890-4038 )

to make sure. They should be able to tell you which one you need, assuming they have it available.

DC quit printing paper manuals. Now the dealers have to pre-order once per year if they want paper. If they do not order paper when DC requests, they can later using "print on demand" for a higher price.

That is why the price went up. The vendor is no longer stocking the paper manual.

Are you guys sure you are getting the 04? When I called them last week they wanted $240. He said I could get 03 for a $100.
