My last truck was bought new in 89, financed for 48 mos. Been saving the payments since it was paid off and paid cash for this one. Probably do the same with it, if I outlast it. Trust me, preventive maintenance is worth the money and or time it takes to do it. Got 260k on the ol truck and still going, but not for much longer. I think I squeezed my moneys worth out of it.

wow, i really can see that everyone is very different. Thanks everyone, I have one other question for you all? I have a chance to get a 04. 5 Laramie 1ton lone bed with all the options for 7500k off thats puts it about 36,800, would you do it?

What's the MSRP on it? That will tell you if it's a good deal or not. You should be able to buy at or near invoice.

I paid cash for mine, well, traded in a cash bought '03 hemi 1500 and the rest cash. I bought mine for Employee Price (5% under invoice) and also got a $2500 rebate plus a $500 holiday rebate. So, I bought it pretty cheap. I think I'd have to be wearing a mask and pointing a gun to have gotten it cheaper!

we don't want no steeeeeeenking payment

paid invoice less, less, less. Arizona is a great place to buy.

Put $14,000 down had rebates and Farm bureau discount, paid $435 or so for 17 months and said enough is enough and paid it off.

Now that I have some extra money I can sart adding more bombs.

Refinanced house and am paying out $26. 00 more per month than I did before the refinance for fifteen years. Not a problem because the tenants make that payment anyway. Do not worry that I am doing something stupid, because our debt load is less on seven properties than many people owe on one.

Previous to that I was paying about 550 for five years.

I think that 5. 25% fixed interest is gonna look good in a few years
