04's innner cooler paint peeling

I have some paint peeling. Infact, I seen just one more truck today with the same peeling on the drivers side bottom.



I was thinking just to half*** cover it up with some flat black. Anyone have any other better ideas?



Also, on the frame were the drivers side e-brake is rubbing on the frame I have fresh metal there.

My '03 did the same thing, just cleaned it up and sprayed it with Rustolium satin black. I have spayed the frame a couple times with a marine rust inhibitor you can buy at any decent marine store.
