05 & 06 Headlight Assy Interchangeable?

I was thinking about installing an HID projector type headlight assy for my 06 Mega but could not find one for an 06. There are however many for an 05. I was wondering if they have the same sheet metal so an 05 will fit an 06 as well. Please help. Thanks.

The 06 housing is alot larger, hence the hole will be too. If your good with sheet metal and body work it could be done I suppose but the cost would be staggering.

I would think you can just swap ou tthe fenders and be good. Will also have to do the bumper cover as it is different as well, unless you have an aftermarket bumper like a Road Armor.

When I look at my '03 and '06 next to each other, the '06 lights are HUGE by comparison. The fenders are alot different. Somebody else that has a body shop also mentioned that the under structure is different on the '06 so even swapping fenders is out.

Thanks for all the info. I think I will wait till someone makes a HID projector type kit for the 06.
