All, I have both dodge and ford trucks, however the fords are becoming a problem my wife's 05 had a turbo at 14K...

I am looking for comments on the 06's related to reliability / problem issues.

The current deals are good, and my 02 ford might be up for sale when the Ford dealer puts it back together. .

Thanks!

Today was a topper - 2 trucks down in one day;

My 97 12v has 131k, going in today, all of a sudden, no fuel pedal - pulled over and found the linkage bar broken in the all thread area. Someone had brazed it together before.

Any ideas why this would break? This truck has been turned up, and I suspect the afc starwheel has been cranked forward, [but haven't checked]

Part is on order.....

To add to this, my wife picks me up in my 02 ford PSD with 85k, long story short I get home, shower and hop in it to go to work, On the way out I jokingly say "I hope this one doesn't break down" 3 miles later pulling out on a 2 lane hiway I give it the juice, and get bad noises, shaking and blowing grey smoke, found oil running out the tailpipe.

Good news was the tow truck that dropped the dodge on my farm, picked up the Ferd and took it to the dealer.

Never had 2 quit in one day in 32 years, hope I never do again!!!

I have 26k since buying in March. I use it for work. I've had one warranty claim and that was with a failed a/c blower. Other than that it has been reliable mechanically and the rest of the truck has worked as advertised. Only mod is the factory jake brake. I feel your pain with the F-6. 0 I had an 03. I've also owned first and second gen DC's, overall I'm pleased with the 06 M/C.

I believe there was a blurb in the TDR magazine a few issues back about the CR engines have about the same warrenty claims as the p7100 pumped 12 valve. Since the p-pumped 12 valve is one of the best engines evermade made (reliablity wise), I'd say the CR engines are doing pretty well.

you know what i had a buddys truck break the same linkage bar. broke in the all threaded area. all i did was clean it up and weld it back together. but there were no signs of any thing causing this to break. still to this day haven't found what caused it.

oh btw my o5 has been flawless. with 23,000 miles on it now.
