'05 6 disk in a '03??????

Was wondering if a '05 6 disk would fit in my '03? Mine was not in the truck when I bought it but it but it came equipped with one. Just hoping that it would fit and work.

Should not be a problem as the 6 CD radio "RBQ" starting being available as standard factory option during mid '03 model year and is still being offered on '05.

Be careful before you buy. The amplifiers changed from 03 to 05, and the amp might not be compatible. If you are buying from the dealer and they have it in stock, take the truck in and have your radio already pulled. Plug in the 05 radio and be sure it makes sound before you buy. You can't hurt the new radio, it just might not play.

This assumes you have the premium radio and amp factory installed.
