05 Front Disc Brake Caliper Removal

Getting ready to do a brake job on my 05, 2500. Last night I pulled the to 13 mm bolts out to release the caliper from the adapter. No joy.



Do the anti rattle spring tabs have to be flattened and slid out or am I just missing something.



How do I get the caliper off to replace the pads. Never had this problem before.

I figured it out.



The drivers side requires that the bottom end be released first and then the top end.



The passenger side has to release to top end and then the bottom end.



Just remove the two 13 mm bolts, release the caliper as stated above and then it will lift right off.



Passenger side took an hour. Drivers side took 15 minutes.



At 97,000 miles the brakes still had more than 50% pad left.
