Took a test ride in the GTO last night and was wondering if anyone knows what a good price on this car should be? I really like it but I got a price of $36,000 out the door and thats just too much. Anyone know about the pricing on this should be.

This was a '05 with the new 400HP engine? Doubt you will see any discount on this one for a few months, if it was an '04 you should be able to get it for around $25k without any options. Last I heard Pontiac had a $3500 rebate on the '04 GTOs, plus the dealers are selling them at invoice.

Yea it was an 05 with 400hp eng. Talk about fast. I'll have to wait and see if they come down at all.

Mainly because 7800 out of a run of 18,000 were sold in 04. Dealers as it sits have a "180 day" supply worth of allocated units. They just had a thing on car and driver TV about them and the fierce battle between the upcoming cobra vs GTo being the GM pony cars are out.

According to the specs this is the 400 horse engine. Invoice is 32k.

There is a used black '04 with 2000 miles for $25k on a lot here in Denver.

find a 04 cobra for sale. Lot more things available for it than a GTO. You can do a lot more with the mustang

carsoup.com had 3 of them in central MN last week. 25k was the going average. (350hp '04) My wife has gotten alot of pics emailed to her in the last week!

More stuff than the LS1?? I doubt it.



I raced one last year up here(5300 ft) last year. I ran a 17. 7 and he ran a 15. 1 both of us were stock. From what I have read and talked to people they are very nice cars but are heavy. I wouldn't trade for my '68 though

You guys are fans of the new GTO? I was not impressed at all with the styling, hope it has loads of performance to offset the bland looks. I was hoping they would pop out something aggressive like the old Goats, but instead they went with the ever-popular "blob of melting butter" look.
