05 HPCR only makes 20 psi of boost, any idea why?

Outside of boost leaks, any other causes of this problem? Anyone else experience something like this?

Thanks for the help.

I believe that is about max for a stocker.

the 305/555's are in the ±25psi range stock, the 600's are in the ±34psi range stock.

a boost leak would give you low readings, or a stuck wastegate, or a malfunctioning IAT or MAP sensor can give you low boost pressures too. . any driveability issues?

I should have added that it is an 05/600 used in a conversion, So there cuold be other issues, though the APPS is pretty much sorted out. Warranty is a non-issue and I am working on pulling codes now. Should the IAT or MAP sensors throw codes if they're bad?

And it does drive ok, it just falls on it's face like there is only half throttle.

Thanks again.

check with DRB if rail pressure meets called for pressure, could be a leaking injector, check your dipstick to see if oil is mixed w/ deisel

a tripped map sensor code will limit boost to 20psi. this is true on my 04. 5. Messing with my Edge attitude and turning the key on while the edge box had no power tipped a map code. Messing with the air box and not having the mass air plugged in did it as well

Thanks guys, for the great info. Is there anyway to check and reset codes without going to the dealer? BTW, the odometer method won't work for me due to the conversion. Do any of the performance programmers do it?

Thanks again.

The Bully Dog downloader will pull codes, tell you what they are and clear them. Even if the program is downloaded on someone elses truck. My buddies got an 05 with the crazy larry and he has used his to trouble shoot my 03. As far as others, don't know.

Also, air cleaner? Checked it? Looked at filter finder?

Air filter is a brand new AFE Pro Guard 7. Thanks for the info. After some searches, I am learning a lot. Tons of great info here.

Thanks again.
