Attention: TDR Forum Junkies I put 03 tips on it today. What a change. The truck feels almost the same as far as power goes. The smoke is gone and egt's are much lower. The engine idles a tad bit louder than with the 05 tips, but not bad.
One thing I did notice was how much crud had built up on the tips in a very short time. The truck wasn't driven more than 500 miles and the tips were perfectly clean when installed. There was a thick layer of carbon that extended all the way to the end. I wonder of polishing the outside of the tip would help prevent the carbon from sticking.
