'05 intake on a '93? (is it possible?)

we put a hiram intake on my buddies 05 dodge, and we were wondering if his stock intake pipe would fit on my 93. the bold pattern looks the same, and i would figure on using the same rubber hose/fitting, after cutting a certain amount off of the pipe that comes out of the intercooler.

if i did this would it give me any better air flow? and would i have to turn up my injector pump to make up for allowing more air flow???

It should fit. I have a Banks 3rd gen intake on mine. The Banks is 3. 5", the stock 3rd gen is 3" I believe, and a stock 1st gen is 2. 5".
