05 loss of power in bottom end

?? No changes or service done recently, but suddlenly seems down on power on the bottom end under 2k rpm. Appears to want to downshift where it wouldnt before, and doesn't seem as fast??? I know thats not much, but any ideas? Boost Leak, Dirty Fuel Filter ??

Could be a number of things but I was taught to start simple an work your way up. Air filter, fuel filter change couldn't hurt. Did you perhaps get a tankful of bad fuel? Sorry I can't help more.



I know on mine, I changed my air filter last week and my power came on much smoother, fuel mileage went up, and EGT'swent down significantly. The turbo didn't seem to want to spool until around 2K rpm's kind of like you are describing. The air filter had right at 15K miles on it and was really nasty. Didn't get time to do my fuel filter yet.
