The (PDC) can be moved from Vehicle to Vehicle 03-05. the (FCM) needs to be compatible, you may move from vehicle to vehicle, But it is VIN programed, so you will get a VIN mismatch Soft code, no need to worry it won't effect operation.
The one I fixed was not passing current to the trailer brake ckt.
When you stepped on the brake, power from the brake controller would make its way to the FCM but not pass through and back to the trailer plug.
What I did was wire the brake controller as if the vehicle did not have a trailer/tow package and picked up the trailer brake wire behind the front drivers inner fender.
This "cut-out" the faulty internals of the FCM from that ckt.
For your trouble of that single ckt I would think you could do something similar.
Install a relay with keyed power to it, trip the relay with the stop/turn signal going into the FCM and attach your right trailer stop/turn wire to the vehicles trailer ckt.
Basically all your doing is installing a relay in place of a failed one that is not accessible.
The only reason I went that route was because a replacement FCM was on national BO and we needed a fix quickly.

I had the same problem with my trailer left turn / stop. Here is what I did to fix it.
Made a diagram of the locations of fuses and relays. Removed all relays and fuses.
Ground off the melted plastic pins that retain the cover to the base.
Seperated all the pieces including the printed circuit.
Located the three soldered relays (one for trailer tailights, one for left turn, one for right turn) Desoldered and removed relays. Located relay 85,86,30 & 87a terminal solder points
and soldered in 4 wire harness for each relay and ran three external bosch type relays.
Now you have access to these relays to test etc. Have been running this way for 2 years now. And saved me over $500. 00 Canadian
As I heated each individual connection with a soldering gun I blasted it with an air nozzle
when the solder was liquid. Leaves a nice clean hole to solder to once the relay is removed. Granted it takes a little finese but I'm sure you can handle it.
Excellent! thats a great mod, thanks for sharing and will remember that one. Here is what I did to fix it.
