Competition Predictions for Fall Brawl 2004

I dont understand a 2500 gasser, a 1500 could be lighter and ride better and maybe even a shortbed std cab, if its 2500 it might as well be a diesel.

It looks like Moab is their official testing ground now or something. I don't know much but I do know that there are a bunch of Rubicons and Power Wagons here doing things.

Man do I envy you. I hope to make it out there in the next year or 2. Now that I'm single again I might be able to make it happen :-laf

The electronic sway bar disconnect was the most interesting feature I saw. It uses one of those blank offs that exist on the Laraimi dash between the butt warmer controls. That leaves one blank switch location left for the future. Maybe it will be used on the diesel hybrid Ram to engage the 10k generater!!!

The built in winch behind the stock looking bumper was kinda cool too.

Man, I sure hope they are still hanging around next month.

I expect there will probably be one on display at the Vegas SEMA show, but I'd love to see one crawling the rocks. I'll be headed for Moab *immediatly* after SEMA; might even skip part of Friday to get to Moab in time to ride (ATV) on Saturday.

When I was wheelin in Moab last weekend I was headed up with the group to run Pritchett and saw some guys testing a new PW. They were at a trail head airing down. Only thing they mentioned was that it needed lower gearing, there is not enough low end torque in the gasser for it to have an effective crawl ratio. Didn't stick around too much, they were only running bunny trails :D

Nice 8- 10 grand in after market, factory installed, and with a factory warranty. Very tempting. Any updates on the Jeep Rescue?

These differentials are listed on AAM's site. I would think they would fit their units.

TracRiteªGTL

AAM's TracRiteª GTL differential is leading the way in technology. The TracRiteª GTL has added a locked mode. The locked mode is available automatically — via a programmed computer or driver selectable, or both. The TracRiteª GTL offers a high-quality solution for the customer's vehicle.

TracRiteªEL

AAM's advanced TracRiteª EL leads the way in electronic controlled locking differentials. The TracRiteª EL is fast (50 milliseconds), lightweight and compact. This differential offers scalable high-torque capacity, low electrical power and actuation that can be programmable or driver selectable, or both. The TracRiteª EL is compatible with ABS braking and gives customers the driving advantage.

TracRiteªECV

AAM's TracRiteª ECV is one of the most technologically advanced differentials we offer. This electronically controlled differential offers continuous variable torque biasing. Some of the key features offered on the TracRiteª ECV include low electrical power; compact, high-torque capacity; fast response; and compatibility with ABS brakes. The ECV is programmable — to satisfy the toughest of driving conditions.

Dallas Auto Show

i was at the Dallas Auto Show recently looking at the POWER WAGON at the State Fair of Texas and talked to the dodge rep. at the show and he said that the model i was sitting in was only $36k fully loded. i sat in the truck for about ten min. looking around in it. the base model includes: rock bars at the bottom of the doors, full bed liner, 12k pound warn winch, hemi, gps navigation, mud tires, full underbody skidplate armor, elec. locking diff. and moon roof. Avalible in 4 door short bed, or single cab long bed, i could go on for hours about this truck. he said it would be avalible in a few months. I mentioned the cummins but no comment was what i got from the rep. my dad is already planing on getting one when they hit the show rooms. I had 2005 Truck of the year in my mind. Let the cummins conversons begin! :D
