'05 Runnin Rough

I have an 2005 cummins with 44,000 Miles on it. I installed a MBRP 5" exaust (with muffler), K&N ram air, and bully dog triple dog with outlook. Shes been running fine until a couple weeks ago when I went out to start her and she was running very rough. She seems to run fine after warm up and running highway speeds, but when I start running stop and go traffic she starts to run rough and it feels like the truck is shaking. I noticed that the exhaust smells a little "rich". I changed the fuel filter and that didn't change anything. I got a little worried so I made an appointment at Dodge to get it fixed... any ideas on what is causing this problem? Is it major? Will dodge still honor the warranty or am I S. O. L due to the mods?

to add a little more info to my above question, you can only feel the truck running rough when it is idleing or you are at a stop.

Good luck on the warranty. People have had mixed success with mods.

I would dump some Stanadyne of power service in the tank and hook it to the heaviest thing I could find and work the snot out of it.

Check your engine oil level and see if it's over full. The rough idle, shaking, and running rich descriptions leads me to think you have a possible injector problem. Best of luck getting everything up & running properly again.

A buddy of mine had the same trouble. he had the injectors, lift pump, and rail relief changed. He had some water in his fuel he thinks which may have caused the trouble along with a predator juice stack. Now he has just the juice in. Dodge changed everything along with a blown intercooler under warranty. Now he's shopping for a turbo and new injectors to satisfy his addiction.
