Truck is stock, including the factory receiver hitch. How do y'all think the receiver hitch will hold up to a sled pull? Or should I be more concerned with my clutch? :-laf

245 tire, pick the L gear(loser) not the W. (win) Com eout with just enough rpm to turn the tires, wait a second, then ease on into it.

Hitch will be just fine.

Unless you like to achieve Vertical distenace, shreded mine at IRP with hops :-laf

the stock one was 2 1/2 square tube, the new upgraded one I just installed is 3" box tube and has four bolts each side with larger grade 8 hardware the side mounting plates that bolt to the frame are thicker as well, I believe 1/4". I paid $266. 00 new for it.

Just pull in 3rd gear low range and its up to you how much you want to slip the clutch of the line. . You can almost idle of the line if you want but of coarse you wont pull as far.

The reciver will be fine just dont use like a 8" drop hitch our something that will put more leverage on the reciver,,try and use a hitch that has no drop to it just straight out. .

Must be the tough country of Indiana!

Went smooth for me (of course I dont have any power).

How did your pull go at IRP smoke? oh wait... :p

Scott... ... ..... Did you say you demolished you hitch with the "bucking" you' did? Man, I would have thought the drive line.

It was nice to meet you there.

Scott,

We told you a while back those tires you had were too aggressive. :-laf

Yeah good thing I didn't use "those" tires :-laf

Heck, I changed tires 4 times at IRP, in what 85% humidity, it was hot. I think this East coast guy is getting spoiled on this West coast weather :-laf

Preston, nice meeting you as well, yeah just the hitch, I guess the custom 4 link kept the driveline in place and took a beating,

I guess slicks are next :D
