06 / 04 box interchangability

Short box coming of an 06 2500 4x4 4 door shortbox. Are there any differences in the 04. Friend would like to put my takeoff 06 on his 04 that was damaged. The 04 is also a 4 door shorty, except with the hemi. Any help from those in the “know” appreciated. Looks to be a twin at first glance, are we missing something?

04<->06, should be the same. The 07 would be different with the new bullet lights (ewww).

I am not crazy about the tail lights or the badging for that matter. I took my truck into the dealer to have the door seals replaced and was stolling around the lot while I waited. They had several 07's around. The new badging reminds me of Furd's powerchoke badge.
