So I've concluded that my 06 QC needs a new TIPM. The symptoms are no backup lights on truck (which may or may not be related) and no right turn signal on trailer. Trailer is good, already checked that, same with fuses. Trailer socket is good, just no power to socket. Its become painfully obvious that the clown who owned my truck prior to me had no idea how to fix anything and he just let everything go to crap. The trailer plug wiring was a rat's nest of broken wires, so I straightened all that out, but I still need to fix the TIPM issue.
I have ordered a Dorman aftermarket TIPM module (PN 599-924) that says that no programming is required, and its plug and play. It is a reman, so I'm assuming that its already been flashed appropriately. The swap itself doesn't look all that complicated. Alldatadiy puts it at .5 hours. Has anyone else done this before or can you offer any advice?
Thanks in advance.
