During this past month my blower motor works most of the time but sometimes will not start immediately. The first time that I noticed was when it came on after driving about a block from my house. Then it worked fine on all speeds for about a week or two, then it did not start again when I started the engine. I drove for about 15 minutes and then it started. Presently it will not start at all. [I thought that it might "heal" itself, but obviously not.

Does anyone have a similar problem that was solved? How would one trouble shoot this situation without going to a "stealership"

Thanks for any help.

If you have a meter check if 12 volt power is going to the motor. If so motor is failing to start. It also may feel warm or hot if it cannot get started, and that could be bad bearings holding it up.
A place to start... .

I had this problem a while back on my '05 and it turned out to be the blower motor itself. Easy fix. Three screws and wire plug. Worst part is folding up enough to get to it. 10 minute swap for a young man.

May be the motor but check the fan speed resistor before you replace the motor, mine quit a couple of years ago and all that was wrong was the terminals on the resistor were corroded where it plugs into the system. It's located under the glove box. bg
