On my 06 it looks like there is only 1 headlight bulb per side.

When you pull back the flash to pass it flashes the high beams and I think the fogs, but I sware the low beams are going out.

Does the bright box turn on both the low and high beams at the same time even though it only has 1 bulb per side? If so, I would expect the bulbs to be short life since I bet the get real hot.

Low beam with fogs on is great, high beam could use more light. I guess I realize it because I just traded in an 02 sport which had great high beams.

Anybody got a Bright box on an 06? I have also read about the fog light conversion, does that make the fogs bright enough on coming cars flash high beams at you? I don't want that. I realize they can be adjusted.

The low beams and fogs go off anytime the high's are on. The bright box turns on the lows when high beams are engaged. I wondered about short bulb life too and figured the high price of the bright box just isn't worth it. I figure a better investment would be a set of 55W-100W headlight bulbs but I've never tried it.

I have bought the higher powered bulbs in the past. Luckly the guy let me return them because they made no difference. In my Jetta the silverstars made all the difference in the world, but the ones I replaced were yellow. Mybe I will try a set of silverstars first.

Just installed Brite box on '06 two weeks ago. Low beams and fog lights come on with high beams now. Even activates to the fog lights on high when they are not switched on. Much brighter. No idea yet on bulb life.

A cool feature if you ever put the Bully Dog Triple Dog on your truck (at least for 06's), is that you can change your headlight settings. It gives the option to keep the fog lights when you turn on the high beams. This makes it so nice for driving, just like having the bright box and not as much heat in the bulb.

Plannig on swapping my 03 bright box to the 06 in the near future. If the plugs havn't changed I'll report back.

Just put the britebox on my '06 this last weekend. Very nice increase in light output on high beam. Not sure of bulb life yet.

Good luck finding Silverstars... the '06 uses a 9008/H13 bulb. Sylvania, as of yet, does not offer that bulb type in anything but standard halogen. I can't even find those at the local auto parts stores though! :(

The 06 used a 9008 bulb, therefore your SD7 box for your 03 will NOT work. The new units for the 06 models are the SD8, SD8+FLC, & SD8 Fogster, the Fogzilla harness will still work with the 06, they still use the 9006 bulb.

Just FYI
