06 bd transmission problems

this is my first post so please be patient with me but i am need of much help and as i understand it this is the place to go. by the way hello all and looking forward to making new friends. To make since of all this i just finished a new engine and add all the goodies to it. my nightmare has been the transmission. I had bd build me a trans the race version, but since i tow they put in high friction plates and used a x converter. the first trans they sent would haul *** but shifted at 2800 rpms. there fix was a new valve body which lowered the shift points but my trans burnt up soon as i went to tow 1800 miles on it total. So they send me a second trans. after install i find that the new second trans has a bad govener presser and transducer. as per request i installed new ones and the code went away. (still hadn't driven it yet) The test drive felt like it was slipping come to find out it is starting in 3rd or second sometimes. well with 2200 miles on her now she is almost gone. the problem now is still the gear starts and she just doesn't know were to shift at or to. 70 mph giver gas and she jumps back and forth from 3rd to 4th a horibble feeling. does the same at take off. when i come to a stop at a light i can't tell if it is staying locked up or just droppen gears but it makes a loud clunk. im in a bad spot and bd just doesn't seem to know what to do they say there sending me another transmission but come on 2 bad in a row what the heck. by the way no one i can find but dodge has a scan tool for 06. No codes on truck at this time. but we would like to see what she is doing. I pressure tested the trans and it has 75 at drive with break on goes up to 120 when locked up and will see it hit 180 when i giver gas and then back to 120. any ideas or similar problems and fixes would be helpful thanks in advance.

Sorry dude, hope someone can help. I honestly havnt heard much good about BD trannys. I had one of their boxes on my truck, it took a crap, I couldnt get anyone there to help me. Come on something like a box??? Send me a new one!#@$%! I took the piece of crap off and put an Edge box on.

Pressure seems to be way low On my 04. 5 at half throttle I see about 140 and at wot I am at 210 pressure. The more go pedal you give the more pressure your should get. There is something wrong not holding the pressure the trans needs to build to shift

i have limited insight to trannys but bd said pressure is fine. what trans you have.

I had a nightmare with my BD trani too. 1st one replaced, 2nd one they tried 6 valve bodies. They could not fix the problem. They tried to blame the amsoil, the XM radio, the weather just about everything. They then told me to change the way I was driving my truck. I was not driving my truck wrong. . or hard... #@$%!



I gave up and went elsewhere... they have still not returned my 4 x calls from December. Left messaged from the President Brian Roth to the Warintee Guy to the shipper.



I had posted on there web site asking for help... it went on so long and in detail they ended the pot and took it off there site!



I hope you do better than I did!

I used a valve body and triple disk for dunrite convertors. I also installed abillet input and flezplate with a deep aluminum pan. I really enjoy it.

If the first trans failed you need to flush the cooler and lines very well to remove any contamination. If you don't, you will just push the friction material and metal through the new trans or valve body. The dealers have a flush machine with pressure gauge to measure the pressure drop across the cooler. You could remove the cooler and have it flushed also. Don't forget the lines though.

With mine thay made me replace the block mount cooler. TQCV cooler I thin it is.



Was like $250 from my pocket

to all who might wonder i didn't get to far with bd but i am getting a refund for the trans and i will probably have to eat the 2k + in repairs that they althorized me to do. not to mention the 2 months that i have been down because of the transmission. but i have a new suncoast trans on the way as built as it can get and i feel confident this will be the answer to all my problems.

I have over 10g's in to a BD transmission and it is not in the truck.....



It is never going to be in either.



I have over $2500 in rental charges... Hundreds in fluid changes... And piles of big cell phone bills...
