I mounted a CB in my 06'. I'm still working out the bugs. It's convenient to reach while driving.

That looks great. I have been trying to figure out a mount for my '03. I like Big Bob's setup, but don't want to loose the cupholder.

What are the two black uprights attached to at the bottom? That looks like something I could do, but don't know if I have anything solid to mount them to.

Can you still move the seat forward? (The wife has very short legs, but they still reach the ground:-laf )

Thanks, and good job!

Steve

The supports are shelving I found at Home Depot that are now cut to size. I had to use a 2x4 as a spacer at the console. It's painted to match. Total project cost was about $6. Passenger seat still has full mobility.

Just realized I used the other digital camera. It names the pictures IMG. Unable to post picture directly. Here's the link.

hears my problem my girl sits right next to me and her knees are verry close to my cb. has any one mounted there raidio over head? my mic plugs in the side so a flush mount in the dash would not work and I dont think I want it on the dash where it will invite a theif.

I used a Shelf-it, from JC Whitney. In one of my stack pics, you can kind of see it hanging on the bottom side of it.

Thought about putting it between the shelf and headliner. but the radio sticks out to far, if you do that.

I never called JC Whitney. Their website indicates they don't make the Shelf-it for 3rd Gens. Might be worth calling them.

Anyone figure out if you can fit the CPU in the cubby hole right under the heat/ac unit? I think the 06's and up have a smaller cubby, but the other 3rd gens should have enought room.
