06 Concerns

Bought an 06 2500 auto 4X4 QC. I had a 96 3500 5spd 4X4 reg cab w #10 plate, afc forward, SBC, duals no mufflers. Now this new truck with the HO engine doesn't seem touch the old truck for power and doesn't get better milage. Though the new truck is much more comfortable I am a little concerned with what I spent my 30+K on. Kinda thought the new truck would feel like it had some power and get a bit better milage. 900mi on the clock best I've seen is 14. 4 mpg on the highway. Maybe I'm just used to a hopped up 5sp. Any comments. I bought a juice w attitude to help with the lack of power.

Give it a chance to break in and loosen up. They are really tight for the first few thousand miles.
