Anyone experiencing a squeaking or creaking when depressing the clutch pedal that increases as you drive. Paying over 40 grand for a truck and having people ask what that noise is can be embarrassing.

check the linkage. i had a slight noise but no enough to bother me. maybe a drop of lube on the moving parts. watch that little plastic part the connects the pedal to the cylinder. dodge replace a master cyl on mine and the guy didnt insert it all the way. broke as i was driving through town. for 40k, i traded it for an 02.

Mine started doing it as well, didnt at first but it does now, I can barely hear it and I doubt a passenger could hear it in my truck unless the cab was silent. Doesnt really bother me though. I might stick my head in there and take a look though.

My '06 did it for about a week and then it went away.

Thanks for the replies. I've tried lubing it in the past but it doesn't take long for it to return. It makes feathering the clutch more like a jerky action than a smooth action. Tired of messin with it and it's under warranty. Dealer has it as I type, will let you know what happens.

I'm going to guess sticky throwout bearing. When my clutch was replaced the guy said the bearing didn't hardly want to move. Now my pedal is as smooth and soft as when the truck was new.

They lubed it up and called it good. It's still noisy and not smooth to my satisfaction. I guess I'll just have to live with it.

How many miles? Clutches are only warrantied for 12K I think. If they lubed it and it still doesn't work, I'll second my first impression. Does it sound like it's coming from inside the cab? Towards the end, I could hear mine better with the door open.

I have this same problem in mine, it seems to be worse when the truck sits out in the sun. I've lubed it many times, but it doesnt seem to help one bit, and help would be much appreciated

it is the master cylinder and slave. just had mine replaced at 26k. same exact problem and symptoms. it comes as complete set so that you do not have to bleed it. mine is perfect now , until this one goes bad.
