'06 Head/Fog light switch install

I bought a fog light kit off ebay that came with lights, wire harness and factory dash switch for headlight/fogs. Instructions show that the dash comes out for install of the switch. Isn't there an easier way?

Not that I am aware of. The headlight switch is bolted to the back of the dash bezel.
