06 low power bad mpg

I have a 06 ctd auto 9k miles been to the dealer 4 times with no results.

Im getting between 8. 5 in town 11 hyw, Had two buddies buy same day at DSM and their getting 15 to 18.



Went to DDP had injectors tested and were fine, lift pump was good, dyno'd at 238 rwhp where most 325/610's were at 265 to 280, so the low power trying to move 8300lbs would explain crummy millage? Hooked the juice back up and it make its claimed hp but in any level but stock setting hits 28 lbs boost and just hit the wall, in stock setting wit 40lbs boost but still only 238hp.



Weak cp3 or bad ecm? Any Ideas would help... ..... thanks

Did you try disconnecting the exhaust from the turbo while at DDP? Could be a plugged cat/muffler from the factory. Some people have found the valve clearance within tolerance but still off on new 06's. I checked my 06' valve clearance without thinking DDP had just done that when my injectors were honed. When it warms up this weekend might be worth your time to remove the intake tubing for inspection. Maybe something was left behind from a factory worker. On "Unique Whips" they found a brass hammer behind some plastic molding on a new Porsche Cayenne.

check to make sure all of your push tubes are torqued correctly. they may be bypassing fuel and causing lack of power. i have seen 2 trucks with this problem recently.

Sorry what are push tubes? The fuel lines?

they are the tubes that the fuel line runs to. that go inside the head. they seat into the injector body if they are not torqued correctly then they will bypass fuel and cause alot of issues with running. they should be torqued to 37 ft lbs.

I know this sounds simple and stupid but is the air filter ok? Friend of mine with a new 06 kept going on about no power and bad mileage and then found his air filter looked crushed. Like it had been stepped on. Truck hard about 5k on it. Anyway replaced air filter and mileage and power was a instant jump for the better.
