06 MDTDC Annual Picnic

As most of you know, it's almost time for the MDTDC annual picnic, which we usually have at Ft Frederick State Park in Md. With it being so late this year, already, it's possible we may not be able to get that site. Does anybody have any suggestions as to another good location to hold it at? We also need to set up a date. I'm thinking the last week in July, or one of the first two weeks in Aug. That will also be dependent on the location, if it's available, or not.

there is a park down in frederick MD, pine cliff state park which i know is a little hike for the PA residents, but i went to a birth day party there this summer, and it seems just like the fort frederick state park grounds, the park is less than 3 miles from where I70 and 15 meet, ill see if i can get some info on how to get a reservation for that area, there are pavilions that you can reserve there, so who thinks this might be a good place?? just throwin out an idea.

That's a thought. I could probably check for reservations at Ft Frederick, also. Was kinda looking to get a little more centralized so people don't have to drive as far. The only thing is, I don't know where that would be. Maybe some of the Pa guys might have some ideas, too.

OK, Reservations are made for the 29th of July at the picnic area/shelter at Ft Frederick. Hopefully the same one we have all been using the past couple of years. []

If you look at the thread below, I might be going to the dyno day in Newark, DE, that day, if enough people show interest.



However, since I will be gone the next weekend to Carlisle for the All Truck Nationals, I may skip BOTH events on the 29th, for a little quality time with the better half.

Man I know what my better half will say about me going to both of them too!!

I been wanting to go to Carlisle again this year but I have little one coming right about then and I know a truck gathering or show just ain't going to work too good for me. But I think I going to try to at least slide one of them in.

That's the nice thing about the picnic. It's a family atmosphere. Everybody get's together for food and fun. Who can't enjoy that? :-laf

Well, with less than two weeks to go for this, it's probably time to see who's coming, and who's bringing what. I'll bring the cooking stuff for the grill, and some burgers.
