The other morning, my heater indicator didn't come on, and the CEL came on. I've had it in to get it flashed like a dealer tech told me in order to get the "latest programming" . He said that Chrysler's 06 programs started at AB, AC and so on and they are clear up to AQ to fix various issues on 06's. Is this a common thing on a new Dodge in such a short period of time, or are they just feeding me a line of crap because they don't know whats going on with my truck? He also said that for some reason 06's have a many elec. glitches and programming errors that need fixing through program flashes. Also, do any of you guys know if anyone is making a power programmer that you can also alter thottle pressures because of the new computer controlled setup on the transmission? Mine downshifts way to easilly when getting on it to pass a car and such. It would be great to be able to change that up with an external box to get a more reliable setting. I kinda like the old cable setup better right about now...

I can't offer any 06 knowledge, but when my ECM acts up I just disconnect the Neg. poles of the batteries, turn the Ing on & off, the reconnect the batteries.

Can't hurt. Mike

The reason for so many flashes is they are relatively easy to do. With as much stuff going on in that controller as there is, I'm sure it is easy to miss something. If they do, they just correct the problem and issue the flash. A very cheap and easy way to fix/improve their product.
