2007 DHRA in INDY

Dyno Day at Dez Racing

OK guys it is the New Year so lets get our #?@!# in gear and get something going on a regulare basis in our area.

Nothing against the Hooters thing but lets have it somewhere else maybe were we can do some wrenchig.

Do we want to start a club or keep it simple is another thing we have to consider?

We can always start a monthly get together and if that does well maybe go to every 2 weeks or weekly.

Lets all start brainstorming and start getting ideas on what we can do for 2006, so we start having some fun and getting more people to show up at the hangouts.

I will definetly need the distraction from the wedding and the house.

I wiould be into that. I don't know for how long. I might be selling the truck in a couple of months. But would definitely be interested in meeting some of the other Cummins guys in the area.

Jeff

JR, I read your post on the other thread :-laf We could meet up at your house and bring some sheet rock over and 2x4's, although with my short bed you might only get 6 footers :D

We also need to get together anyway, call me I think my inlaws are coming over in two weeks so I should be free ;) :-laf

1st annual meet and greet...1/20

A Good time had by all, lots of trucks and a lot of work to be done :--) Well not really, it was Junior, myself and the two ladies and his was the only truck that was there. He does have a lot of room for multiple trucks though :D

I must have missed something somewhere... ... .

You didn't miss anything. I had a water heater for Phil's house and he came over to look at my house and pick up the water heater. I followed him back to see his house.

He does have a lot of room :-laf

Yes guys i do have a lot of work in front of me, but i will try to follow2 everything going on here. Like HO said i can have a get together or BBQ in spring or summer because i can get a quite a few trucks in my place.

Oh yea it took a 3/4 ton truck to move a water heater. A little overkill? I don't think so :-laf .

Let see if we can plan something for February. Place to meet and Eat or something along the lines.

Anybody out there with time on their hand on the weekend and wants to help me out with the house i will gladly except. I will have cooler full of beer for those who may want to. :D

this is a little bit of a jump ahead but what do you guys think of the all chrysler nationals... . it is in carlisle, PA...

Hey guys, off topic but, does anyone know what the state laws are for parking a truck with commercial plates on the street in? my town allows overnight street parking. They say commercial overnight is not legal but I see a lot of vans and pick up trucks with commercial plates parking around town but i am not sure how they are going to like or not my 96" wide dually with no bed, lots of flashy DOT required reflective tape and a greasy 5th wheel. doesn't blend in as much as Joe's plumbing van. No room to park in the driveway once I put the outter wheels on.

JR do you have a place/time for the wedding? My fiance and i are looking at places right now. Don't have a date set or anything yet.

It is usually done by each town. Maywood for instance does not allow vehicles with commercial plates or advertising on the side to be parked overnight IN YOUR OWN DRIVEWAY. It isn't enforced.

Hackensack doesn't allow personal vans without rear side windows to be parked on the street overnight. They also don't allow pick-up trucks to be parked on the street overnight. Why->they "LOOK" commercial. Don't ask how I know this.

Maywood and Hackensack don't want their towns looking like small business people live here. Commercial plates detract from the landscape. I digress

off topic rant/on

New Emminent Domain laws passed in CT are allowing local governments in NJ to force out the old italian families in Long Branch and force out the poor people who live in trailer parks in LODI. So they can add new properties at much higher tax rates.

I think Maywood still has the law on its book that prevents you from hanging your laundry outside on clothes line.

rant /off... . sorry

So you will have to check locally. But if you ask the police you may be asking for select enforcement. I would play ignorant :)

Yeah we have a date and time. Figured since we have been seeing each other for 6 years why have a long engagement. The big day is 4/29/06. It will be at st. catherines church in Ringwood and the reception is at Simplicity Inn in West Milford. They are one of my landscaping accounts so working a deal with them.

Will be trying to finish the majority of house work before then.

The Chrysler nationals sounds pretty good, i won't know until closer to the event.

Sounds good, this month is starting to slow down. It would be nice to get something in before I start working on the kitchen :{

I haven't done the gauges yet, cold outside :D If I had a warm place to do them or a warm day I would love to get them done.

How about meeting at a sportsbar or something like that?? (I think Hooters is out for me :{ )
