Hello all. just got rid of mt 97 2500 and bought a 06. I had bombed my 97 some and I need info on light upgrades for my 06. What brand tunner is recomended and intake, exs... . If you can point me towards info that would be great.

I am looking for around 100-200hp gain. nothing radicel yeat :cool:

a TST Powermax CR, and gauges will be a good start (TST has a box with built in gauges). Or you can wait for the end of Sept for the Smarty. But the TST is adjustable on the fly.

I feel the same way... . I just bought an 06 and my faithful 98 is now parked out back of the shed. I just can't seem to pull it down to the road and slap a "For Sale" sign on it so I am only advertising it on this site which is the least I could do after so many miles of trouble free service. :(
 
It was hard to say good buy to the old girl. I was the first owner and loved every minut of driving her. She was getting cranky like my wife and I culd onlt stand to have one cranke girl in my life. So I traided here in on a yunger, sexeyer, more powerfull model. Sometime I wish it was the wife that I traided but she feeds me good :p

Why would you have to wait 'till the end of september for the Smarty, I've had mine for a while. Is it because of a shortage since Marco is on vacation?

I figured light was an EZ---40-70 HP.



Yea my light up grade on my 97 was a #6 tst plate, turbo back 4" exh. ATS trany, gages stage 2 intake. The next level was working on getting injectors and new turbo/turbos.

I test drove the the 06 with the 48RE trans and loved the shift pattern over the 47RE. I am looking to make less smoke and more power. And not have to wory about the EGTs so much. The banks 6 gun bundle with powerPDA is leading the way for me right now. But too keep cost down I may go with the 6 gun and speed loader.

Does anyone have any exp. with this system?

Shane, if I remember correctly Banks turns the injection pressure up by quite a bit. Because of the problems this can cause I would look at timing/duration boxes or those with minimal pressure gain.



Someone has a web page comparing all the boxes and how they make power but I can't seem to find it. . . .
