06 problems?

Hey guys, posting for a friend who has a 06 with around twenty thousand miles. Has a welding rig on it so taking it into the shop for a week or so is not an option, must weld to live... . Problem is: High speed miss, anything above 1800 cuts out, on downhill run, start to lay back into throttle and miss with white smoke. I am thinking fuel pump, but how many pumps are on this booger? Maybe fuel regulator? Anybody else having these problems? This is an HO 325 horse. .

Oh yea

He has just changed filter again, the dealer has put one lift pump on it so far. Our local dealer has told him he would have to leave his truck for a week!

not had any problems at all with my 06 i got in December... have over 8000 miles on her now at speeds from a crawl to 80mph... .

Edge box

He did have a edge box on it, he has it off right now because he has to take it to the dealer. Could he have a reflash problem? He says it runs good under full power, but when he lets off to a cruise, it starts to miss.

Bet its got a damaged relief valve or such. Dosen't sound like a reflash but a hard part issue.
