Just got an 06 to go with the 05. So far, I love it. Don't miss the extra room of the QC yet, but we will see. If anyone has any input on things to watch for with the 06's with G56s let me know. Hopefully it will put the work out that the 05 has so far. Got to love the Cummins.



Before any of you :--) or :{ , these trucks are used for business, so I can't pat myself on the back for having it in my driveway (yet). That purchase will come later. Maybe in the form of a Mega-Cab 2500. We will see. Take care everyone and still loving the site, even after a year.

Congrats and keep us updated if you notice any differences between the two model years other than cosmetics.

Thanks mberry. So far the differences are the smoother shifting, lower geared G56. Not wild about the RPM at highway speeds. I delayed the purchase waiting on someone to come on here and start screaming about how bad the transmission was, but no one did. I am hoping the silence was a good sign of no problems. This will definitely be put to work soon, so the "real world" testing will begin. If it turns out to be a lemon, then we will go back to plan B again.
