I think this came out on the 13 of Feb. It is supposed to removed a "thunk"
from ac unit if truck started with the ac on. There was also a mention of long crank before start. To me the best component is it improves shifting with the auto trans. I must say it greatly improved shifting on my truck. A not mentioned benefit is it greatly reduces ( you have to try and feel it ) the vibration on acceleration at about 5mph.
My 06 4x4 3500 Mega only had the 5mph vibe and the sometimes squishy, hunt for gear shifting. Note, nothing major here but the flash certainly makes the shifting more snappy and sure. I still have high idle and driving lights with hi beams too. This is for 06 CTD's manufactured from summer 05 until Nov.
The dealer did not put a sticker on my truck for the reflash. I also mentioned the open vents on the top of the fuel tank. The tech said WTF and installed some fuel lines with a tee I can put a filter on - for free.
