06' Turbo Lag?

On my 96' when I punched the throttle the truck took off. My 06' has a slight lag before it takes off. Is this normal?

I sell Dodge and I've noticed that the mega cabs seem to all require a little more throttle to get moving compared to the Quad-Cabs and even my '05 truck. It's hard to explain, it's not a weak feel. it just seems like it take a little more ooommph to get moving. Nothing a decent chip can't fix for ya.

another thing to consider is the 96 was a p pump. You swat the throttle, you had instant fuel delivery.

I don't think it is as much turbo lag as it is ecm programing/timing. (and loose TC if it is an auto).

ECU limits fuel until the boost gets to about 12 lbs then ramps the fuel back up. They definately don't hit like the 12V where by 7 lbs things were cookin'. All part of power/tq management and emissions.
