Hi, first post here.*
I've got a question on my truck I was hoping someone could help me with
Truck is an 07 5.9 4x4 auto.
Last year or do, I bought a valvebody from HTS, and put it in. Truck was fine before, no shifting problems etc, just the annoying drain back if the truck set awhile, and I wanted to firm up the shifts. I also bought new solenoid, governor, wiring harness etc from them at the same time.
Put it all in, definitely shifted firmer.. (actually more than I wanted ) but for the most part I was satisfied.. hardly ever drive this truck:D
1 thing I did not check after doing the valve body swap was trying to shift through the gears manually.. just didn't think about it.*
That's where my question comes in.. I tried shifting manually today, from 1st to 2nd and it will not shift out of 1st, I can move the shifter to 2nd, let off throttle, redline, feather it.. notta. And if I do try to shift manually and seeing it won't do it, it won't shift automatic either, unless I turn the truck off, restart it and it shifts automatic again just fine.. but still no manual.
Any of this make sense ? Or do I sure nuff have a gremlin?
Thanks

The gov transducer has probably gone bad, that is the usual culprit with those symptoms. Might want to consider the BD transducer and a DNC gov housing with the GM style solenoid to work with a modded VB. Give Dusty a call and see what he says first.

That should of popped a code, mine did.

Thanks for the replies. Anyway to test the gov transducer? No codes showing up. Shifts great as long as I do t manually pull it into 1st or 2nd

Yes, put a gauge on the gov pressure port and a scanner on the data port to monitor demanded and actual values.
