07 brake controller

Got my new Ram. My 00 come with the wiring harness to wire in a brake controller and plugged under the dash. My 07 didnt come with the wiring. Anyone know off hand if Dodge uses the same setup now? Would be nice if the harness from the 00 worked in the 07 since I still have it

I'm pretty sure the wiring harness is the same. If it plugs in, use it.

It is the same harness-dodge just hid the female end on top of the wire bundle under the dash on the 07's .



Just plug it in and your ready.

I got my 07 in May. My harness (adapter) came in a plastic bag laying in the front seat. I don't know if that is the wire you are talking about but it came in the truck.

Thats the wire and mine didnt come with it nor a 7 to 4 plug adapter. My 00 had both in the glove box

Look up under your rear bumper and you'll find the 4 pin plug wired in.

Yep the 4 pin was zip tied to the hitch under the bumper.

My truck was built in April and I picked it up in early May and the harness was in the glovebox just like it was in the '98... it looks just like the one the '98 came with. I would suspect that yours got pilfered on the dealer lot. My BrakeSmart controler came with a harness that plugs into the Dodge connector.
