P 0137 O2 sensor fault and regeneration

I've been told I have to buy the case to replace the detent balls ? Everything is good inside the trans except the shift rail and the detent. They seem to have been hot
 
The G56 can run hot, mine has seen as high as 250*, before I installed my cooler setup. If the detent balls were hot enough to cause premature wear on the case, the rest of trans should signs as well. My bearings and races were replaced at @35K miles, when I had it inspected before the SMF and the SBC dual disk clutch was installed, due to browning from getting so hot.
