Old Ford, got me a new Gator!!

04 Impala ?

Spotted my first mildly lifted '07 Tundra today. These trucks are butt-ugly to me stock, but this setup definitely appeals to the eye and should improve their approach and departure angle which is hurtin' on the stock ones. Toyota will undoubtedly void driveline warrantees as they state in their FJ cruiser ads which feature modified units.

Contractor I had doing some work drove up in one today, pretty impressive mechanically, he said it really hauls and averages 16mpg.

Looks are secondary to me, give me a powerfull, bullet proof driveline and large cab and I would be happy.

My business partner has the new Tundra , its got the 5. 7 V8 and its a 4x4, the interior is really nice with tons of integrated storage compartments, really well thought out, also the dampened tailgate is awesome, just pull the handle and let it drop, it's also kind of pulls itself up. The thing is pretty powerful too, but I will smoke him in my CTD. The mileage is where I lose interest, his truck has close to 400 hp, but at a price, around town it gets around 10, maybe 15-16 highway. Gas is more than diesel still, and for the price he paid he could have had a "real truck".

I agree, Toyota Tundra are nice, but for about the same money, I'll take the Dodge/Cummins hands down.

You must have alot more mods than what is in your signature, stock extended cab 4X4 Tunda with the new 5. 7 runs in the 14s stock, in fact it is the quickest of any of the new half tons, the only exception is the Dodge SRT-10, 3/4 and 1 tons are well behind the 1/2 tons.

the only way I would buy a tundra is with a diesel under the hood! but it wouldn't replace my Cummins!

They were going to do a diesel a few years ago, then the price of diesel fuel went up in price and Toyota backed off. I'll bet they do one at a later time. I'll stay with my Cummins.
