On my '07 Mega 2500 the temp gauge on the EVIC seems to read about 4-6 degrees low. Is there any way to calibrate or adjust it? Can the dealer do anything?
Compared to what? What makes you think it is low? That variance is nothing and is probably more correct than a weather reporting station as it reads where the truck is not 20 feet off the ground in a concrete surrounded area.
There are a couple OBD PIDs you could read and compare the temperatures if you have a reader that can pull real time data. I think PID $46 is inlet air temperature and should be the sensor in the air filter. There is also $0F but I think that is the sensor in the MAP module.
The OEM temperature gauge isn't in the mirror. If yours is in the mirror that could be why it's not accurate, but you should be able to adjust the location of the sender.
